Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine patient care within an assigned unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, support nutrition, coordinate daily care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Performs routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists with activities of daily living including personal hygiene and mobility.
• Coordinates daily patient care activities and communicates effectively with the team.
• Documents care provided using worksheets or the electronic medical record.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and adheres to hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks related to routine patient care within an assigned unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists with patient’s plan of care by providing and/or assisting with activities of daily living.
• Effectively coordinates daily patient care activities on the nursing unit.
• Assists nursing staff with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Responds to patient calls and reports needs to appropriate personnel.
• Assists patients with nutritional needs including feeding and fluids.
