Job summary

The incumbent will document data, assist with clerical duties, coordinate with hospital staff, and participate in 24/7 coverage. Rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, may be required to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• For those enrolled in a nursing program, must obtain RN license within 3 months or secure CNA certification.
• If already an RN, must maintain CNA certification if remaining longer than 3 months.
• Current enrollment in approved nursing education program is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with feeding, mobility, personal care, and activities of daily living.
• Reinforce patient and family education as directed by the nurse.
• Collect, report, and document data related to direct patient care.
• Support indirect care activities: environment, transport, clerical tasks, and safety.
• Assist with scheduling, charting, and unit communication as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and escalate concerns to staff promptly.
