Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under licensed nurse supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient safety, and communicate patient needs to the care team.

This role requires a CNA certification, BLS and CPI certifications within 30 days of hire, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Telemetry/hospital experience is preferred, with flexibility to work a 24/7 schedule.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital and telemetry experience preferred.
• Current CNA certification; BLS within 30 days of hire; CPI within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
• Communicates patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Completes documentation of patient related tasks.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
