Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking a Nurse’s Assistant to support the plan of care under licensed nurse supervision. You will help maintain a safe patient environment, document care, and communicate with patients and families.

The role requires CNA certification with BLS and CPI to be obtained within 30 days from hire. Preferred candidates have hospital and telemetry experience and can adapt to a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital and telemetry experience preferred.
• CNA certification and BLS to be obtained within 30 days of hire; CPI within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides care based on patient age, safety and related criteria.
• Communicates patient care needs with patients, families and staff.
• Completes documentation of patient related tasks.
• Adapts communication and care to patient population.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
