Qualifications

• Licensed as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA training.
• Sincere desire to serve the ill and aged.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Must have patience, tact and enthusiasm.
• Must be in good general health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled and elderly residents in varying states.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and filled within resident’s reach.
• Assist with other duties as directed by supervisors.
