Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• If not currently certified, CPR/BLS is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including observation, vital signs, blood glucose testing and EKGs as indicated.
• Manages equipment: retrieves, cleans and follows unit protocols.
• Documents patient data in the electronic medical record, including intake, output and vitals.
• Maintains environmental safety: keep call light reachable and bed in low position 100% of time.
• Transports patients and specimens following MRMC standards and safety measures.
• Supports infection control: hand hygiene and precautions compliance.
• Precepts nursing assistants and maintains CPR certification.
• Assesses age-specific care needs and ensures appropriate communication.
• Demonstrates responsibility for actions in patient care delivery.
