Job summary

Prisma Health's Greenville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the plan of care. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and document observations on the medical record.

You will collaborate with RNs, transport patients as needed, and participate in fall prevention and basic bedside care. This role requires completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program and CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.
• No experience required.
• In lieu of school verification of a nursing assistant training course, CNA certification accepted at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living, turns and repositions, may transport and assist with walking; helps with fall prevention and patient restraints as delegated.
• Provides patient care as delegated by the RN including non-sterile soaks, simple dressings, perineal care.
• Performs data collection (vital signs, intake/output, specimens); documents and informs RN of observations and changes.
• Runs errands, answers telephone, answers and responds to call lights.
• Performs point-of-care testing as trained by RN and reports lab values.
• Provides and documents comfort and non-pharmacological pain management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
