Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CNA license or be currently enrolled in CNA program.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification.
• Must possess a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must be patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents at their current maturity level.
• Must be in good health with emotional stability.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties per facility policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and within resident reach.
• Carry out other related duties as directed by supervisors or administrator.
