Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during CNA training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per established policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality nursing care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals to ensure correct treatment.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh water, and reachable.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
