Job summary

Waldron-Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident care and support with daily living activities, ensuring health, welfare and safety.

The role involves assisting with meals, personal hygiene, mobility, vital signs, documentation, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing professional development; long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a CNA in the state of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving meals and feeding; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assist in personal hygiene: bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assist with bathroom travel; help with showers and baths.
• Assist in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; document intake and output.
• Provide resident comfort by responding to call lights and requests; report observations to nursing supervisor.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA and related laws.
• Adhere to professional standards, company policies, and all applicable laws and standards.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining licensure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
