Job summary

Desert Springs Healthcare and Wellness Centre seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor health, and ensure safety in line with established policies.

You must have CNA certification or be enrolled, with good English, patience, and teamwork. This on-site role includes shift-based rounds, feeding assistance, hygiene, transport for therapy, and reporting to charge nurses as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in CNA program or licensed.
• At least 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during CNA class.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals.
• Assist with meals and feeding, and dress residents.
• Keep residents clean and dressed; assist with hygiene and grooming.
• Assist in preparing residents for therapy or activities and transport as needed.
• Report complaints, abuse, hazards, or equipment issues to the Charge Nurse.
• Attend in-service trainings and participate in team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
