Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the patient-centered care team. You will assist with ADLs, support procedures, collect specimens, and help with EKGs while ensuring patient comfort and dignity.

Under RN supervision you will document data, monitor vitals, and communicate changes to the care team. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• CPR certification required within 90 days.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of approved CNA program required.
• One year of relevant education may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
• Collect specimens and obtain EKGs.
• Document intake/output and vital signs in the health record.
• Support procedures and nursing care per unit policy.
• Maintain patient privacy, safety, and comfort at all times.
• Transport and assist with patient discharges and appointments.
