Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will collect data related to patient status, perform basic nursing procedures, and assist with treatments and maintenance of patient care equipment.

You will help patients with daily activities, turn and reposition, assist with meals, collect specimens, and document in EMR with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: completion of a nursing assistant program preferred.
• Experience: No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Turn and reposition patients; assist with walking.
• Assist with admission of patients to the unit and orientation of patient/family.
• Take and record vital signs; monitor questionable values.
• Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and deliver to the appropriate department.
• Complete documentation in EMR accurately and timely.
