Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care, support daily living activities, and maintain a compassionate environment in our skilled nursing facilities.

The role emphasizes teamwork with licensed nursing staff, vigilant safety, and adherence to care plans. CNA certification and strong communication skills are essential for delivering quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, active CNA certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope of practice as defined by state regulations and residents’ care plan.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents.
• Respect resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Respond promptly to call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• All other duties as assigned.
