Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Minimum 6 months of CNA experience or clinical experience during training.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm with empathy.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Demonstrates emotional stability and health suitable for a care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide nursing care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions promptly.
• Make beds and maintain bedside/overbed tables clean.
• Ensure water pitchers are filled and within residents' reach.
• Undertake other duties as directed by Charge Nurse or Administrator.
