Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Assists with basic health care needs, feeding, bathing, and mobility, while following infection control policies and documenting care as required. May participate in wellness and recreational programs and support department initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required and provided by facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, and standard vital signs as directed by RN.
