Job summary

Ambercare is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to support seniors and people with disabilities at home in New Mexico. The role offers flexible hours with part-time opportunities and a pathway to healthcare benefits for qualifying staff.

You will learn the fundamentals of quality home care and deliver life-changing service to clients, with virtual interviews available for safety. As an Ambercare Certified Nurse Aide, you’ll remind clients to take meds, assist with personal care, and support daily

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant training.
• Satisfactory background check and valid driver's license.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to compassionately care for others.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take medication at the appropriate time.
• Assist with therapy exercises under direction of a Registered Therapist.
• Assist or perform personal care including hair care, oral hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with routine bodily functions.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and accompany the client to doctors or appointments.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition.
• Turn or reposition patients who are bedridden.
• Examine the patient for bruises, blood in urine, or other injuries.
