Job summary

The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking a CNA for Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas to assist in nursing unit activities and direct patient care. The role requires CNA certification in Nevada and current BLS, with a preference for a high school diploma or equivalent and basic PC and medical terminology skills.

You will work in a busy hospital environment with opportunities for education and training, paid time off, and comprehensive benefit plans through VHS and UHS.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred. Completion of education/experience necessary to obtain CNA certification from Nevada Board of Nursing.
• Current CNA license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification required.
• Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities in the nursing unit; perform clerical and receptionist duties and patient care/services as outlined by the state.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
