Job summary

The Orchards seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care in a skilled nursing setting under licensed staff. You will assist with daily living activities, support mobility, monitor health status, and document care in approved systems.

This PRN role emphasizes flexible scheduling, competitive wages, and ongoing training to maintain high-quality, person-centered care for residents while protecting rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification in the state of employment (West Virginia or Ohio).
• Completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred or obtained within the required timeframe.
• Minimum of six months of geriatric or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care according to individualized care plans (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating).
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and safe use of lift equipment.
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output; report changes to Charge Nurse.
• Observe residents and communicate changes to the nursing staff.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, meals, hydration, and feeding assistance.
