Job summary

Addus HomeCare is actively hiring Certified Nursing Aides (CNA) to deliver in-home care. This role supports clients with daily living activities, medication assistance, and basic household tasks while following care plans and maintaining strict confidentiality.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, reliable attendance, and strong communication with clients and families. Training is provided for the required Aide certification, and opportunities exist for flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide (training provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pre-employment physical examination/PPD prior to patient contact.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if driving, valid license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate by nature with desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments, store, and essential errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and be flexible to meet department needs.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations.
• Abide by all company policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
