Job summary

Colonial Nursing and Rehab in Crown Point, IN is seeking a personable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and comfort, maintain dignity, and support an interdisciplinary team in a busy nursing home.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and mobility; monitor residents under the care plan; and document observations while following policies. Must hold an active CNA certification and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; having successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination.
• Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, in accordance with the established Care Plan.
• Ensures that all residents are out of bed according to the established Care Plan.
• Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, and clinical staff in a supportive, calm manner.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures safety and well-being of residents.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to care for residents with therapeutic, neuro and dementia-related needs and other applicable conditions.
• Acts under the direction of the Charge Nurse and participates as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
