Job summary

MUSC Health in South Carolina is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospital team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, support activities of daily living, and help maintain patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the stay.

You will record vital signs, assist with transport and meals, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Current South Carolina CNA certification required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within the required timeframe.
• Maintain good standing on the SC Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Help ensure patient comfort, safety and dignity during the hospital stay.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team.
• Assist with patient transportation to tests, procedures and other departments.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient environment.
• Assist with meal service and between-meal nourishment as appropriate.
• Support nurses with various patient care activities while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding service.
