Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Amarillo, TX. You will provide essential personal care, assist with daily activities, and support residents with mobility and comfort, while maintaining meticulous records and collaborating with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas CNA certification, demonstrates reliable attendance, and shows genuine care for the elderly.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas.
• Can accurately record information and perform technical procedures.
• Communicates well and demonstrates self-discipline and patience.
• Genuinely cares for elderly and individuals with disabilities.
• Understands and upholds the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personal Care: assist with grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing per policy guidelines.
• Maintain Resident Environment: change linens and ensure grooming supplies are stocked.
• Support Mobility: safely ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
• Record Vital Information: accurately document vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption.
• Assist with Positioning: turn and reposition residents regularly for comfort and safety.
• Encourage Engagement: lead range of motion exercises and provide reality orientation as directed.
