Job summary

Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Little Rock is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support licensed nursing staff in a high-acuity unit. You will assist with daily patient care, mobility, personal needs, and basic assessments under the supervision of registered nurses.

The role requires compassionate patient interaction, adherence to care plans, and timely documentation. Prior experience in acute or long-term care is preferred, with a commitment to teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
• Ability to work well with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in patient care in assigned area.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Record vital signs and measurements accurately and document timely.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and handling patient belongings.
• Respond to call lights and paging system promptly.
• Assist with routine treatment procedures under RN supervision.
• Help with restraints under RN direction and ensure proper positioning.
• Support RN/LVN/LPN with complex patient treatments.
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding as needed.
