Maine Veterans' Homes in Augusta, ME is seeking a compassionate CNA for day shift 7:00 AM–3:00 PM to provide hands-on care in a designated neighborhood. You will work with nurses and care team to deliver safe, respectful, and person-centered care, with opportunities for advancement and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active certification on the Maine CNA Registry in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Help residents transfer, reposition, and ambulate safely.
• Monitor residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Encourage independence and participation in daily routines.
• Document care and observations in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
