Maine Veterans' Homes in Maine is seeking an Evening Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents in a designated neighborhood across long-term care, skilled nursing, or memory care. You'll deliver direct care during the 3:00 PM-11:00 PM shift, helping with personal care, transfers, and routines.

Qualifications

• Active certification on the Maine CNA Registry in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Sound judgment and commitment to resident confidentiality.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and dining assistance
• Assisting residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using safe techniques
• Helping residents prepare for the evening and bedtime routines
• Monitoring residents and promptly reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
• Encouraging independence while providing compassionate, person-centered care
• Documenting care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Following infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards
• Building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
