Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will work closely with a care team to provide personal care, monitor patient status, and ensure safety throughout the care continuum at Rhode Island Hospital.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, documenting observations in the EHR, and reporting concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Certified in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Performs personal care skills.
• Performs basic nursing assistant skills per Rhode Island regulations.
• Assists with rehabilitation activities and activities of daily living.
• Maintains safe environment and reports unsafe conditions.
• Documents data in the EHR and care records; may assist as a patient observer.
