Job summary

Owen Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care across activities of daily living. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and health maintenance for all residents while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

The CNA will assist with meals, personal care, mobility, and documentation, ensuring timely responses to resident needs and collaboration with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification per state laws
• Must be at least 18 years old
• CPR certification required
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Long term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding
• Assist with personal hygiene including baths, showers, and grooming
• Assist with ambulation, turning and positioning
• Check vital signs and monitor weight; document intake and output
• Respond to call lights and requests to support resident comfort
• Document actions by completing forms, logs and reports
• Protect resident privacy; comply with HIPAA and laws
• Follow professional standards and facility policies
• Maintain current job knowledge through training and publications
• Perform other duties as assigned
