Job summary

City Mission is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to assist the RN/Manager of Medical Services in all clinic functions. The role provides basic medical assessment and care to in-house residents and eligible community members, focusing on patient flow, data entry, and medication reconciliation.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA license and has several years of nurse aide experience, preferably with homeless populations. The job supports a compassionate, faith-based mission and community service.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license/proof of registration.
• 3+ years of experience in nurse aide field.
• Previous experience working with homeless populations desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow related to clinic operations (signing in, waiting room maintenance, scheduling).
• Complete patient check-in tasks (vitals, visit reason, health record notes).
• Fax prescriptions and assist with pharmacy communication as needed.
• Enter patient data into Mission Tracker for outcomes tracking.
• Assemble new health record charts and perform clerical tasks.
• Assist with medication reconciliation checks for residents.
• Maintain filing and organization of patient health records.
• Keep treatment rooms stocked and assist with supply inventory.
• Sanitize and clean patient rooms after visits.
• Perform receptionist duties and answer phones professionally.
• Distribute medical clinic updates and assist with DPW insurance applications.
• Provide individualized patient care for medication management and tests as needed.
