Job summary

The Palmettos of Garden City is seeking a Caregiver / Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team and provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. You will assist residents with activities of daily living and help maintain a safe, clean environment for assigned residents.

The position requires attendance at in-service training to meet state requirements and the ability to chart accurately in the Patient Care Record.

Qualifications

• Attend in-service programs to learn procedures and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Provide morning care (hygiene, dressing, bed linen, orderliness) and evening care ( hygiene, linen, room).
• Perform tasks as assigned or report to charge nurse if not completed.
• Provide post-mortem care.
