Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED unless working under a student permit.
• Be certified by the ISDH as a CNA in good standing.
• Have basic computer skills along with knowledge of such programs as Excel, Word.
• Understand safe, effective nursing practices within the state of employment.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to residents under the supervision of a Staff Nurse.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding and mobility per care plan.
• Document vital signs and care activities per facility policy.
• Maintain a clean and safe resident environment; observe changes and report them.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
