Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide personal nursing care under the direction of a licensed RN in Portland, OR. You will perform activities of daily living support, monitor patients, and report concerns to the RN.

The role includes routine tasks, data collection such as vital signs, and collaboration with the Med/Surg Acute 1 department. A High School education or GED is preferred, with required BLS and CNA certifications; full-time, day or night shifts available.

Qualifications

• Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS certification required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Facility License/Certifications: BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living support, including nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices and restorative care.
• Takes vital signs such as pulse and blood pressure.
• Assists with basic patient needs: bathing, dressing, feeding.
• Performs clerical duties and routes patient reports; maintains unit organization and prioritizes tasks within scope.
• Provides assessment data to RN as directed.
