Job summary

Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our patient-centered clinic in Alaska. The CMA will provide clinical and administrative support, including vital signs, basic exams, and assisting providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires CMA certification or registration, BLS, and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program. Employment offers full-time status, 40 hours/week, and competitive hourly wages with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• CMA certification or registration and current BLS.
• Proficiency with basic clinical tasks and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and prepare patients for exams.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures including EKGs.
• Coordinate patient care including scheduling, tests, and results communication.
• Provide clerical support and maintain medical records and billing information.
• Maintain a clean clinical environment and proper infection control.
• Manage supplies and inventory for patient care areas.
• Deliver effective communication with patients and staff.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as required.
