Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support primary care teams at Marshall Nemer Pavilion. You will greet patients, review and update health records, and prepare rooms for examinations, while assisting with vital signs and related tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active CMA certification required; ABR-OE acceptable if MA certification unavailable.
• BLS Basic Life Support required at hire.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred; 2 years clerical in physician office preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; familiarity with health records and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and provides excellent customer service.
• Reviews and updates patient charts with test results and records.
• Measures vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Handles clerical duties: inventories, referrals, phone duties.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems; performs other duties as assigned.
