Job summary

Brooke Grove Retirement Village seeks a PRN Medicine Aide (CMA) to administer medications according to physician orders and maintain strict safety and infection-control standards. You will identify residents before administration, observe for side effects, and ensure proper documentation and disposal of medications.

The role requires a Maryland-certified GNA and medication aide registration, with shifts days or evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Current Maryland geriatric nursing assistant and medication aide registration required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications according to physician orders.
• Identifies residents prior to administration and monitors swallowing.
• Maintains clean and locked medication areas and carts.
• Follows infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Reports medication errors promptly to the Charge Nurse.
• Observes and reports changes in residents to licensed nurses.
