Job summary
Care Initiatives is hiring Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join our compassionate teams across Iowa's skilled nursing communities. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage with shift differentials and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.
You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor health, administer medications as assigned, provide companionship, and collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, respectful setting.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa or ability to activate.
- Valid Medication Aide certification in Iowa or ability to activate.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating) and passing medications.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor health and perform routine vital checks.
- Interact with residents, families, and healthcare team.
- Encourage resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance routines.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
