Care Initiatives in Iowa is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for full-time or part-time day shifts across more than 40 skilled nursing communities. You will help residents with daily living activities, administer medications, and provide compassionate companionship to enhance well-being.

Qualified candidates hold an active Iowa CNA and a valid Medication Aide certification, with a caring, respectful demeanor and teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Iowa or ability to activate certification.
• Valid Medication Aide certification in Iowa or ability to activate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating) and pass medications.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Monitor health and perform routine vital checks.
• Communicate with residents, families and the healthcare team.
• Encourage participation in recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment.
