Job summary

The Village of St. Edward Communities is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Wadsworth, OH. You will assist residents with personal care and activities delegated by the nurse, and monitor conditions under LPN/RN supervision.

Must have 18+ years of age, reliable transportation, and Ohio CMA certification; 2 years RA experience in assisted living preferred. Shift work includes mornings and evenings, with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must have 2 years full experience as a Resident Assistant within Assisted Living / Memory Care.
• Preferred STNA in Ohio.
• Current Medication Aide Certification approved by Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Lift/push/pull 50 pounds independently and with assistance.
• Dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach at different angles.
• Walk, stand, and sit intermittently.
• Understand infection control.
• Able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Make independent decisions.
• Assist in emergency response.
• Work Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday Rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide for personal care needs of residents and assist as delegated by the nurse.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes to LPN/RN.
• Administer certain types of medication as directed by LPN/RN.
• Document and communicate any changes in condition.
