Job summary

Sila Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer medications, monitor patient responses, and support nursing staff in a long-term care setting in Floresville, TX. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and compassionate patient care.

The CMA must be in good standing with CMA certification; CNA may be required by state regulations. Orientation, health screening, and a drug test are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in good standing in the state of employment.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program is required.
• Orientation completion as per company policy.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment, if required.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents accurately and per physician orders.
• Document medication administration and maintain records.
• Monitor for side effects and report to nursing supervisors.
• Provide patient comfort using available resources and materials.
• Answer call lights and patient requests promptly.
• Report observations to nursing supervisors.
• Complete forms, reports, logs, and records.
