Job summary

Inspirations of Tempe is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer medications and provide compassionate physical and psychosocial care to residents, promoting dignity and choice within a supportive, family-like environment.

The CMA will follow MARs, maintain medication security, and collaborate with the Wellness Director to ensure safety, quality care, and timely response to emergencies in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing for medication aides.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Be in good physical health; able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Drug testing and criminal background check required.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with administration of medications per physician orders on MAR.
• Documents medications on MAR and ensures accuracy at shift end.
• Conducts shift handoff reports to oncoming staff.
• Maintains medication cart security and narcotic counts per policy.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Communicates with Wellness Director or charge nurse about resident changes.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and calmly; follows safety protocols.
• Adheres to infection control, safety and sanitation rules.
• Documents services provided on company forms.
• Operates office equipment and communication devices as needed.
