Job summary

Open Door Community Health Centers in Eureka, CA is seeking a Clinical Receptionist to warmly welcome patients, check‑in, answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with intake and registration in the EMR.

The role emphasizes patient‑centered service, teamwork, and accuracy in registration and payments; prior front desk experience is preferred and bilingual skills in Spanish or Hmong are valued. This is a temporary, full‑time position with an anticipated end date of 10/09/2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training.
• Strong people skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience with front desk duties and patient check-in preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and checks in patients, greets visitors, and directs to staff.
• Provides courteous assistance in person and over the phone.
• Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments.
• Performs payment collection and daily reconciliation.
• Maintains accurate patient records and registration data.
• Ensures a clean waiting area and promotes patient safety.
