Meharry Medical College seeks a Mental Health Technician to support clinical service plans in the Elam Center. The role includes supervising clients, assisting with group therapy and recreational activities, transporting clients to activities, and ensuring safety and confidentiality throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in a health care setting, and may need a Tennessee For-Hire endorsement.

Qualifications

• Assists with supervised group therapy sessions and therapeutic activities.
• Provides escort and supervision of clients during excursions and appointments.
• Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to program rules.
• Documents problems and incidents; reports to appropriate shifts.
• Performs basic housekeeping and coordination with housekeeping for discharged rooms.

Responsabilités

• Supports orientation for new clients within 24 hours of arrival.
• Maintains records and required paperwork per agency standards.
• Collects and reports client condition data to funding and other agencies.
• Attends client care conferences and staff meetings as required.
• Contributes to process improvement/project teams as assigned.
