Job summary

Colorado Urology is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide office clinical support under supervision. You will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and assist with specimen collection.

You will triage calls, review medications in the EHR, maintain logs for OSHA/MOSHA, and ensure sterile practices. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and HIPAA compliance. Full-time, on-site in Superior, CO, $20–$21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 6-12 months experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Currently enrolled or preparing to attend Medical School or Physician Assistant school.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms in the clinical area for patient care daily, stocking supplies.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and collect urine specimens with data entry to EHR.
• Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions, and document outcomes in the patient chart.
• Review and reconcile patients’ active medication lists for accuracy.
• Assist in maintenance of logs/records for OSHA/MOSHA as assigned.
• Follow sterilization, disinfection, and bio-hazard waste policies.
• Prepare clinical charts for upcoming appointments and ensure necessary tests are present.
