Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network in Wisconsin is seeking a patient, compassionate respite provider to support a child and family in the Chippewa Falls area. This role offers meaningful daily interactions and the chance to help the child participate in activities they enjoy.

You will provide one-on-one supervision and companionship, help with everyday routines, and encourage safe, age-appropriate play. Previous experience with children, especially autism, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with autism or providing one-on-one support is preferred.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and support to ensure child safety (elopement concerns).
• Assist with daily tasks like making bed, meals, bathing.
• Keep child engaged with play, activities, and interaction.
• Spend time on activities the child enjoys, such as car rides.
• Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities and foster a positive environment.
• Build trusting relationship with the child through patience and compassion.
