Job summary

Heritage Place Care & Rehabilitation in Tennessee is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role emphasizes strict adherence to policies and high-quality resident care at all times.

The ideal candidate will be CNAs or students in CNA programs with at least 6 months of related experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work harmoniously with staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in CNA program or licensed CNA.
• Minimum 6 months experience as CNA or clinical CNA exposure.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family, visitors and staff.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, and relate to residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, nursing care procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Assure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within resident reach.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
