Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered medications (oral, topical, ophthalmic, otic, nasal, vaginal, rectal).
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction and guidelines.
• Perform finger-stick glucose testing per guidelines.
• Document medication administration and any variances in resident records.
• Store and dispose of medications properly and report unusual reactions.
