Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered medications including oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal forms.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 under physician direction.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler and perform finger-stick glucose testing.
• Document medication administration and any deviations per guidelines.
• Store and dispose of medications properly and report adverse reactions.
• Provide routine patient care such as bathing, grooming and dressing as needed.
• Report changes to licensed nurse and update resident records.
