Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the care team with direct patient care and seamless coordination. You will assist with screenings, clinical procedures, health education, and administrative tasks while using technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations.

You will need solid clinical knowledge, comfort with medical technology, compassion for patients, and a collaborative spirit that embraces continuous learning and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required at hire.
• Several CMA credentials accepted (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NAHP, NHA, etc.).
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care following standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, respiration, height/weight, allergies, medications, presenting problem).
• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis when required.
• Administer medications and vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, or inhalant routes.
• Perform routine tests including EKGs.
