Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practitioners in patient examinations and procedures. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, and assist with calls, referrals, and authorizations, while maintaining charts and room readiness.

You will interview patients, collect specimens as needed, explain treatments, and support front-desk tasks. A high school diploma and Medical Assistant training are required, with CPR and national certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program (ACBHE/COA accreditation preferred).
• National Certification exam (AAMA, NHA, NCCT) required to be certified.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; effective with patients and staff.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions, prioritize and manage time.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician/advanced practitioner direction.
• Prepare patients to be seen and perform procedures with supervision.
• Assist with patient calls, prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Interview patients, measure vitals, and record data in charts.
• Collect blood samples or specimens and prepare for testing as needed.
• Explain treatments, medications, and physician instructions to patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a neat, clean environment.
• Provide clerical and scheduling support as needed; demonstrate teamwork.
