Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support examination and treatment under the supervision of a physician or advanced practitioner. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, and help with referrals and prior authorizations.

You will interview patients, take vitals, obtain specimens when required, and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms. Experience with LLRT certification and radiology work is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Must pass National Certification exam (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, or NAHP).
• Current LLRT certification or completion within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician/advanced practitioner supervision.
• Handle patient phone calls, prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Interview patients, measure vitals, and record data in charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with blood draws or specimen collection as needed.
• Explain procedures, medications, and physician instructions to patients.
• Support business operations, medical records, scheduling, and reception as needed.
